Crime: Another massacre in Guyana - 12 gunned down including 3 policemen.
February 19, 2008, While fellow country men battled at Stanford 2020 in Antigua for pride of Country, 12 Guyanese in Bartica Guyana were slaughtered on Sunday night as criminals overran the Police Station and took to the streets letting off a barrage of gunfire indiscriminately.  Residents scattered and moved quickly to lock down their homes as they scrambled to the floor. February 12, 2008,    Sir Allen Stanford received an exquisite sculpture of the Stanford 20/20 logo just prior to the Guyana versus Bermuda match on Sunday February 10. The sculpture, accessorized with gold and diamonds was designed and commissioned by Bobby Hussain of Guyana and was presented to Sir Allen by Sarah Lynch, Mr. Hussain's daughter and Otis Anderson, a friend. Alternative Energy - Bahama isle  hoping to forego oil
February 9, 2008, Cape Eleuthera Institute and Cape Systems Ltd is hoping to eliminate dependence on oil in the Bahamian island of Eleuthera by 2030. This goal was the focus of a symposium held  on February 7-8, 2008 at Cape Eleuthera Institute in South Eleuthera, Central Bahamas.
