December 05, 2008:  The Anguilla National Trust monthly bird monitoring programme launched in October 2005. As a component of a larger environmental (natural, social, and built) project that sought to collect and maintain data from a range of agencies covering everything from locations of hotels and restaurants, to land parcels and blocks, to sea turtle nesting and foraging sites, the bird counts began as a means to help guide physical development decisions.(More...)

Community: Remains recovered in crash of Anguillian pilot in Puerto Rico.

December 05, 2008: The Associated Press reported on Thursday that  emergency response personnel had reached the crash site in the Puerto Rico rain forest and had begun recovering the remains of pilot Ken Webster of Mount Fortune Anguilla, and his two American passengers  who crashed on Wednesday.
