CHARLESTOWN, Nevis February 12, 2008: A 32 year old
man, Aldolphus ‘Perry’ Liburd, was killed in a tragic
road accident that occurred at about 10 a.m. in New Castle
Nevis, shortly before midday on Monday.
Perry was driving a Toyota Omni bus when he reportedly lost
control and collided into a pick-up truck, severely damaging
both vehicles and taking his own life. He was taken to the
emergency room of Alexandra Hospital where he succumbed to
his injuries shortly before 12 p.m. The driver of the
pick-up truck suffered multiple injuries and was
hospitalised where he is described to be in serious but
stable condition.
There were no passengers in either vehicle at the time of
the accident- the aftermath is visible in the photograph
below.
